Craftsmanship carried through generations
As the fifth generation in the furniture industry, Alexander Willing grew up with the craft surrounding healthy sleep. He combines the Willing family's accumulated industry expertise with contemporary design, sustainable materials, and personal consultation.
As owner of Willing 1863, he represents the foundation on which everything else is built: a manufactory in Detmold that produces custom beds, mattresses, and toppers with the ambition to rethink sleep comfort – high-quality, durable, and tailored to the individual.

Why SomnoBalance was created
Nicole Willing has spent years intensively exploring the question of what truly helps people achieve restful sleep. This exploration led to a clear conviction: sleep problems cannot be solved with a single product, but only by looking at the whole person.
Rather than treating individual symptoms – a firmer pillow here, a different mattress there – she focuses on regeneration as a whole: body, nervous system, and environment must work together for sleep to become truly restorative. From this conviction, Nicole Willing developed the SomnoBalance concept – a holistic regeneration and sleep concept from Willing 1863.
